Saddle Stitching

Saddle Stitch Binding is one of the most common and economic ways of producing booklets and brochures (typically with 68 pages or fewer), and doesn’t involve the expense of adhesive binding.

The process involves taking signatures, or sections of folded paper, and fastening them together on the centrefold with several staples. This method is termed saddle stitching because the paper “saddles” a metal frame to align the spine of the paper when being stapled together.
