Thread Sewn Binding (also known as Section Sewing) is ideal for high-quality, long-lasting publications and those that you must be able to open flat, without them splitting along the spine – such as brochures, catalogues and annual reports.
We fasten the book sections together through the spine fold with thread, apply hot EVA glue or PVA glue, if a rounded spine is required. A spine lining is then applied before the cover is then wrapped around the book block.
This method of binding can also be used for hardback books & paperback books.
